Would you like to catch up with the “computer revolution”?
Learn how to operate a computer in this great beginners course. You
will soon become familiar with the keyboard, the operating system and
Microsoft Windows. Learn how to get started with your computer, write
letters and documents using word processing, manage your files and folders,
and send and retrieve emails and attachments.

For those who have completed the beginners course, or have some basic
computer knowledge you’re ready to learn more details on Windows
and Microsoft Office 2000. Learn how to improve the presentation of
your word processing documents and other word processing skills, further
detail on email and experience a taste of the internet. You will be
introduced to the many uses of spreadsheets, great for home budgets,
financial statements, and inventories. Other capabilities of your computer
will also be covered. From here you can go on to learn specific software
programs.

A great course for those with a basic knowledge of computing wanting
to become familiar with the most commonly used MS Office programs, particularly
for the workplace, home office or small business. The course will cover
word processing using Word, spreadsheets using Excel, database using
Access, and email using Outlook Express.

DIGITAL IMAGES
Learn how to scan photos using a flatbed scanner, how to save in JPEG

REPAIR AND UPGRADE YOUR PC
Save dollars by learning to perform simple repairs and upgrades to your
PC. In this course you will learn what’s inside the systems box,
you will pull a system apart and successfully put it back together again.
Details on upgrading RAM, replacing hard disc drive, adding modems,
video and sound cards, and general cleaning will be covered. Bring along

A simple web site can be created in a few hours using a freely available
and flexible web-site package, without the cost of expensive software.
You will learn how to use the built in features such as photo gallery,
web blog or online diary, weblink management, customisable designs,
and content editor. Students will create a live web site, not just an
example file on a disk. A hosting account is provided free including
its own web address.

ADVANCED WEB SITE CREATION
This course is for those that are familiar with website concepts, or
have done the previous web site creation course. It will concentrate
on the techniques of developing a marketable money-making web site.
It will include using upload sites to save space and maximise impact,
using resource sites to enhance your site’s content, search engine
listings, visual impact, effective domain name selection, and using
on line services, and paid postings to advertise. Students will create
a live web site.

CREATING DOMAIN NAMES &
INTERNET EMAIL ADDRESSES
Learn how to create and manage your own Email Addresses instead of using
generic sounding ISP or web-mail address. Details on multiple accounts,
creating an auto answering email address for information requests, and
enquiry tracking will be covered. This course also explains the procedures
to locate, register and manage your own unique Domain Name or web address,
and explains the difference between various extensions used with domains.
